Amber is very light and the level of hardness is only slightly more than that of a fingernail, making it challenging for craftsmen to work with. Before carving and polishing, our skilled craftsmen have to pay attention to the amber gemstone´s shape, colour and shine. The end result depends on the qualities of each individual piece of amber and the craftsman’s ability and experience. It takes a great deal of technical and professional skill to select the right pieces for processing.
